Sindhi Kadhi Recipe

A delicious and comforting Sindhi Kadhi recipe that is easy to prepare and packed with flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (potatoes, carrots, and okra)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix besan with water to make a smooth batter.
  2. In a pot, heat oil and add cumin seeds.
  3. When they splutter, add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.
  5. Pour the besan mixture into the pot, add turmeric, salt, and red chili powder.
  6. Bring it to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the kadhi.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed rice or chapati.
