  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1 head garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 2 cups sliced onions
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  3. Place the beef chuck roast in a baking dish and pour the mixture over it, ensuring it is well coated.
  4. Add the chopped carrots and sliced onions around the roast.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 3-4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  6. Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes to allow the meat to brown.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
