James Martin Lemon Tiramisu

Experience a refreshing take on the traditional tiramisu with this James Martin recipe featuring zesty lemon flavors.

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 300g mascarpone cheese
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 200ml strong coffee
  • 150ml lemon juice
  • 100g ladyfinger biscuits
  • zest of 2 lemons
  • 50g powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Separate the egg yolks and whites. Beat egg yolks with granulated sugar until creamy.
  2. Add mascarpone and mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. In a shallow dish, mix coffee and lemon juice. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the mixture.
  5. Layer lemon zest, dipped ladyfingers, and mascarpone mixture in a serving dish.
  6. Repeat layers and finish with the mascarpone mixture on top.
  7. Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra lemony kick, add more zest on top before serving.
  • Ensure the ladyfingers are dipped quickly to maintain their crispness.
