  • 10 grams instant yeast

  • 100 grams candied orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Activate the yeast in warm water for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients, and mix until combined.
  4. Incorporate the butter and eggs, and knead the dough until smooth.
  5. Fold in the dried fruits and candied orange peel.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
  7. After rising, shape the dough and place it in a panettone mold.
  8. Let it rise again for about 1 hour.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
